Sound the Alarm

Fire Alarms in the home

Not only do we here at Boulder Blimp and Inflatablefireeducationhouse.com have a passion for creating custom giant inflatable marketing products and Fire Safety Inflatables, we are also passionate safety in the home. Knowing best practices for fire and smoke alarms is a big part of being safe and protecting what you love! Below are a few tips to create a safer home.

In addition to the minimum requirement of one smoke alarm per level, Fire and Rescue NSW research recommends installing smoke alarms in all bedrooms and living spaces including hallways and stairways and even the garage.

Install smoke alarms inside each bedroom, outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home, including the basement.

On levels without bedrooms, install alarms in the living room, den and family room, or near the stairway to the upper level, or in both locations. Avoid fitting smoke alarms in or near your kitchen or bathroom.

It is recommended to replace the batteries in all of your alarms at least once a year, or any time the unit indicates that the battery is low.

The Original Inflatable Fire Safety House is a PERFECT way to help educate on proper fire alarm practices!
